UC Graduation Ceremony 2023-2024

UC Graduation Ceremony 2023-2024 was rescheduled to 17 November 2024 at the University Mall, due to adverse weather. Near 1000 graduates, along with their family members and friends, attended the ceremony. Over 30 College guests were present to support, participate in the procession, and congratulate the graduates. Congratulations to the graduates as they embark on a new chapter in their lives, and heartfelt appreciation to the guests for their presence, marking this significant milestone. The University also provided an online live stream of the ceremony for those unable to attend in person.

The ceremony was officiated by Ms Lina H Y Yan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. In her address, Ms Yan encouraged the graduates to believe in their potential and to embrace the unknown and its challenges. Following this, Mr Simon K C Lee, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees and President of the United College Alumni Association, congratulated the graduates and extended his best wishes, inviting them to maintain their connection with the college as alumni. Last but not least, Miss Kwok Kin Ling (24/IBBA), representative of the Graduates of 2023-2024, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks to families, friends, College and College members.

The highlight of the ceremony was certificate presentation to graduates on stage. Professor Martin C S Wong, Associate Head and Dean of Students, Professor Lee Hung Kay, Associate Head and Dean of General Education, and Professor Tang Sze Wing, Associate Head, presented the graduates onto the stage one by one, while Ms Lina H Y Yan, Chairman of the College Board of Trustees, Mr Simon K C Lee, Vice-Chairman of the College Board of Trustees and President of the College Alumni Association, and Professor Stephen H S Wong, College Head, then presented the College certificates to the graduating students.
