On 23 November 2024, the CUHK Alumni Homecoming cum United College Head’s Dinner brought together a vibrant community of alumni and their families. The campus was filled with laughter and joyful expressions.

The United College Alumni Association (UCAA) set up a game booth at the University Mall, themed “UC Fun Fiesta.” The booth attracted many participants with fun game and exciting prizes. Alumni were also invited to join the association on-site, enjoying a special 50% discount on lifetime membership fees.

In the afternoon, College students led guided campus tour for alumni and their families. They visited the Shum Choi Sang United College Archives, Tien Chi Microcomputer Laboratory and Creative Media Studio, Wu Chung Library, sports facilities, and Chan Chun Ha Hostel. Alumni were excited when they returned to UC campus.

The evening festivities began with a dinner banquet hosted by Professor Stephen H S Wong, College Head, at the UC Student Canteen. With the enthusiastic support of the UC alumni, the event saw a full house with 14 tables and over 160 guests. The College prepared souvenirs for all participating alumni to thanks for their support. The event kicked off with guest introductions by the two Masters of Ceremonies, Mr Chan Pak Sang, Executive Committee Member of UCAA, and Ms Chillies Tam of UC Dean of Students’ Office. After that, guests and alumni sang the United College song together. The canteen soon buzzed with a vibrant and heartwarming energy, creating a memorable and joyous atmosphere. Professor Stephen H S Wong, College Head, and Mr Simon K C Lee, President of UCAA, delivered warm welcoming speeches to thanks for UC alumni’s staunch support.

The evening continued with a celebratory toast led by honourable guests, including Ms Lina H Y Yan, Chairman of the College Board of Trustees (6^th left); Professor Stephen H S Wong, College Head (7^th left); Mr Simon K C Lee, President of UCAA (5^th right); Professor Fung Kwok Pui, College Honorary Fellow (6^th right); Professor Lee Hung Kay, Associate College Head and Dean of General Education (4^th left); Professor Tse Chi Shing, Associate Dean of Students (5^th right); five Senior College Tutors, Professor Lam Kin Chi (4^th right), Mr Lo Tak Kai (3^rd left), Professor Lau Yee Cheung (3^rd right), Professor Dickon H L Ng (2^nd right) and Professor Wong Man Hon (2^nd left); Mr John K H Lee, Council Chairman of the UCAA (far left) and Dr Chan Ning, Vice-Chairperson of the Committee on Alumni Affairs and Development (far right). The toast marked the beginning of the Head’s dinner.
