College Singing Contest 2025 – Singcadia

The College Singing Contest 2025, organised by the College Student Union, was held on 19 February 2025 at Sir Run Run Shaw Hall. This year’s theme, “Singcadia” aimed to convey a dreamy musical journey. Participants presented the songs with their unique styles and emotions, turning the show into a moving story where the audience experienced the beauty of music. A total of 15 contestants showcased their talents on stage. In the Solo, Group, or Funny Sections, participants demonstrated exceptional singing talent, fully reflecting their passion and dedication to music.

After two hours of exciting competition, last year’s first runner-up in the Solo section, Ms Liu Tsz Ki (MEDU/3) received recognition from the judges for her outstanding performance, successfully winning the Championship in the Solo section this year. Ms Hwang Seowoo (GCOM/2) and Ms Lau Sum Yuet (CHLL/4) won second and third places respectively in the Solo section.

The group, Harmonia, formed by Ms Leung Ka Yu (GRMD/4) and Ms Chau Tsoi Wa (GRMD/4), won the first place in the Group Section; Chanuminous, Residents’ Association of Chan Chun Ha Hostel, successfully defended its title as the Champion of the Funny Section and also won the Most Popular Award.

In addition to the impressive performances by numerous participants, a local singer, Mr Hung Ka Ho, was invited as a special guest performer. His performance brought the show to a climax!
