United College, CUHK – Hertford College, University of Oxford ‘Young Fellowship Academy’

To better prepare outstanding students to seize the opportunities of globalisation, explore suitable paths for their own development and empower them to reach new heights, the College recruits 10 to 12 students every academic year as “Young Fellows-To-Be” (YFBs). They will participate in a 20-month programme to enhance their engagement with the local community and the society.

The Academy is a collaboration between UC and Hertford College at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom. YFBs will receive full UC sponsorship to go to the University of Oxford and participate in a 2-week customised course on global leadership. YFBs will also receive comprehensive training, establish connections with distinguished Senior Mentors, and showcase their skills and abilities by contributing to various College events. All YFBs are envisioned as future leaders who will make a positive impact on the peers, campus community and beyond through their leadership, service contributions, and academic excellence.

Upon completion of the programme, YFBs will graduate from the Academy and earn the title of “United College Young Fellow”.
