Programme Introduction
The College believes that everyone possesses the ability to inspire others. As a result, the UChum – College Peer Support Ambassadors Programme was established as part of the Wellness Programme. Through an open recruitment, selected students undergo counselling skills and mental health first aid training. This equips the ambassadors with the necessary knowledge to identify students in need and promptly refer them for professional counselling. Additionally, they organise various activities aimed at promoting overall well-being within the campus community. Students who complete the programme will receive a certificate. Those who excel may be nominated for the College Service Award and/or the CUHK Outstanding Student Award. Additionally, we will recommend these outstanding students for relevant internship positions.
New year’s student ambassador recruitment will begin in November 2024, with training for the selected students starting in December. The official term for the ambassadors will be from January 2025 to January 2026.
Chum means friends. We hope that ambassadors can become UC students’ friend, going through the highs and lows of university life together.

Chum Chum
This is Chum Chum, a chameleon that is very sensitive to emotions and changes color according to its surroundings. It is also the mascot of UChum.
