Before the end of Year of the Dragon, the College and the College Staff Association (UCSA) jointly hosted the Lunar New Year’s Eve Luncheon on 21 January 2025 at the College Staff Canteen to express gratitude to all junior staff members for their contributions over the past year and to pre-celebrate the Lunar New Year. Over 80 participants enjoyed the luncheon.

During the luncheon, the College presented souvenirs to junior staff who retired last year. Afterwards, Professor Stephen H S Wong, College Head, and Professor Peter C K Cheung, Chairperson of UCSA, distributed New Year gifts to all junior staff members.

The College, in collaboration with the UCSA, organised a series of activities for college members, wishing everyone good health and success at the start of the Year of the Snake!

On 10 February 2025, the College invited UC Chinese Martial Arts Society to perform lion dance at the College office, bringing blessings to our colleagues. On the same day, over 60 UCSA members joined the 2025 Lunar New Year Gathering at Staff Common Room. Members enjoyed exciting and fruitful activities, including festive snacks, a buffet lunch, lantern riddles prepared by Professor Chang Song Hing, Senior College Tutor, a lion dance performance by UC Martial Arts Society, and a Bingo game.

The College and UCSA would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to all the trustees, colleagues, and members of UCSA for all the sponsorships making these events successful. We wish everyone again a happy Lunar New Year of the Snake, continued success, and good health!
