The College had concluded the 3-week French Culture and Language Programme, in collaboration with the Université Catholique de Lyon, in Lyon, France. From 1 to 24 June 2024, ten students showcased their unwavering passion for learning and engagement in the programme.

During the programme, our students participated in immersive French language and culture lessons, gaining a deep understanding of French culture and significantly improving their French language skills. To enhance their learning experience, the students had the opportunity to explore the beauty and history of Lyon firsthand. City tours, boat trips, and visits to world-class museums were arranged for our students.

Our honorary adviser, Professor Nelson C Y Yeung of the Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care, led the students in savoring authentic French cuisine. In a delightful surprise, Professor Yeung also treated everyone to a taste of gelato, a sweet gesture that was much appreciated.

Every moment of this programme has been a testament to the beauty of France. The picturesque landscapes, rich cultural heritage, warm and welcoming people, and delicious food have left lasting memories in the hearts of our students. We sincerely hope that all participants enjoyed this enriching experience.
